Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to analyze our business requirements and the external stakeholders' needs and to prepare technical documentation based on it.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze Existing Products:
-Understand the product logic in-depth by manually testing the applications and analyzing the documentation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain communication with external stakeholders (e.g., countries using Webb Fontaine’s Customs Solutions) and internal stakeholders (Product and Project Managers, QA Engineers, Developers, etc.)
- Manage key business requirements from clients by analyzing their needs and expectations and communicating them to the team.
- Facilitation:
- Run meetings, conduct demos, and give structured presentations for stakeholders, ensuring complex scenarios are explained comprehensively.
- Probe deeper by asking critical questions to understand the core of issues and business needs.
- Technical Documentation Design:
- Gather necessary data and technical documents (e.g., workflow diagrams) and create detailed reports of the analysis conducted.
- Prepare Business Requirement Document (BRD), Functional Requirement Documentation (FRD) / Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
- Develop flowcharts and diagrams to support analysis; Familiarity with UML diagrams, process modeling (BPMN), and wireframing tools.
- Update documents regularly and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) will be appreciated.
- Master’s degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role. Strong exposure to customs systems, supply chain, international trade, and customs procedures. Proven experience in requirement elicitation, gap analysis, and solution design for large-scale projects.
- Background in Business Analyst functions such as preparing technical documents (FSD/FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Wireframes, Data Models), facilitating meetings, and gathering requirements.
- Elicit, analyze, and validate complex business requirements and translate business needs into detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Use Case Diagrams, and User Stories while ensuring alignment of requirements with business objectives, IT architecture, and security standards.
- Collaborate with QA teams and business users in planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to focus on complex tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Personal accountability and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of customs procedures or customs automation systems (e.g., ASYCUDA, TWM) will be an advantage. Understanding of customs procedures, clearance systems, HS Codes, and international trade facilitation, WCO guidelines.
